Hello, everyone! Hope you and your family are enjoying this time of year and that whatever celebration you are involved in is joyful!

This account was created to be a more open and accessible resource about GNU/Linux and Unix-like operating systems. We are relatively new and as this club matures, we plan on adding a mailing list/newsletter as well as conducting regular meetings on dAmn (chatroom: #lug) and IRC (channel: #lug on deviantART IRC).

I've created a channel (#lug) on deviantART IRC (irc.deviantart.com) for us to conduct meetings and just hang out in. If you want to be on the access list, register your deviantART handle with NickServ and let me know and I'll modify the ACL.

Let us know your system configuration: are you a GUI or CLI person and why? What kind of hardware are you running? Anything special you have done to your system that sets it apart from all others? Let us know!

Should we have regular meetings? If so, what should the frequency be? Daily, weekly or monthly? Send a note and let us know!

Feel free to note the administrator if you have any offers, suggestions or general inquiries about the LUG. Membership is open to anyone who wants to participate, so feel free to join up, new and old alike!

Please reference the above FAQ entry. Accordingly, we will not be including artwork in the Favourites section, irregardless of artist's membership in LUG. This club is a resource for help and community primarily, and not a vehicle for non-member/members' artwork. That's why you have your own accounts.
